Someone once told me, “I used to be conceited, but now I am perfect.” Reminds me of the song by Mac Davis, “OH LORD IT’S HARD TO BE HUMBLE.”

This week as I worked on the sermon for Sunday, I was reminded of what it means to be angry. It simply means that “your” rights have been violated! Friends, in the church, we ought to have a higher standard than that, simply by being a servant. Romans 12:3-5 says “For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.  For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function,  so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.”

Every one that is a Believer in Jesus Christ is part of the family of God. Did you hear that… “part” of the family, not “THE” family of God. We need to be servants, just like Jesus was a servant. Matthew 20:26-28 says “It is not this way among you, but whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant, and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave; just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
