Leonard Sweet’s book Summoned to Lead, has a very interesting story in it concerning what we do with Jesus. He says, “David Anderson, rector of Trinity church in Solebury, Pennsylvania, begins his book Breakfast Epiphanies with these words:

Several years ago I ran into a friend at a dinner party. When I asked him how he was doing, he told me he’d had a tough day. “My car stalled on I-95 just out of town,” he said, “and I had to wait an hour for a tow truck.”

Suddenly a scene flashed on my eye. “Oh,” I said, “that was you-in the blue car? I was out there today and drove right past. I didn’t really look- I just saw a car and someone standing there. If I’d known it was You, I would’ve stopped.”

Anderson continues, “That pretty much sums up my search for God: If I’d known it was You, I would’ve stopped.”

I am wondering, In the Christian Church today, how many believers actually read the Words of  Christ? Look at John 15:4-5 “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.”

Can I encourage those who read this Blog, pursue Jesus! Love other Christians in the same way that He loved you! If we did that the world would come running to the Church.

IT WOULD BE TRANSFORMING!
