My Question for this week is this, “If Jesus is alive, but I have not seen Him, where is He?” Jesus died on Good Friday and on Sunday (Resurrection Sunday) He rose from the dead. But Jesus did not show up to all of His disciples immediately. Thomas said that unless I see and touch where the nails were and put my hand in His side, I will not believe. In John 20:29 Jesus says to him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” So the question remains for us today, I hear so many times that a loving God would never allow a “good” person to go through cancer, or to loose a loved one or so many other “bad” things in this world of ours. As i was going through my quiet time this morning I read in 1 Peter 4:19 “Therefore, those also who suffer according to the will of God shall entrust their souls to a faithful Creator in doing what is right.“(NASB) Also, on Sunday we read in Isaiah 53:10-11 “Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer, and though the Lord makes his life an offering for sin, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand. After he has suffered, he will see the light of life and be satisfied; by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities.(NIV) John 16:33 says “ These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”(NASB) So, as you go through your life know this one thing, it was God’s will for His Son Jesus to suffer, It is also God’s will for us to suffer , in fact He promises us that we will suffer and have tribulation on earth. If God ordained it, who are we to question it?
